This Privacy Policy describes how The Ledger Pro ("the App") handles your information. The App is developed and maintained by Rashid.

1. Information We Collect

The App collects only the minimum information required to function:

  • Google Account Information: When you use the Google Drive backup feature, the App requests access to your Google account solely to read and write backup files to your personal Google Drive. We do not access any other data in your Google account.
  • Financial Data: All ledger entries, transactions, and account data you enter are stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to any server operated by us.
  • Biometric Data: If you enable biometric lock, authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system (Android BiometricPrompt API). The App does not access, store, or transmit your biometric data.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Google Drive access is used only to save and restore your backup files at your explicit request.
  • Your financial data stays on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
  • Internet access is used solely for Google Drive backup/restore and to check for updates.

3. Data Storage

All data entered into the App is stored locally on your device using an SQLite database. You are fully in control of this data. Google Drive backups are stored in your own Google Drive account under a folder named by the App, and are accessible only by you.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third party. The only external service the App communicates with is Google Drive (via your own account) for backup purposes.

The App also allows optional sharing via WhatsApp and email. Any data shared through these platforms is subject to their respective privacy policies.

6. Permissions Used

  • INTERNET: Required for Google Drive backup/restore and update checks.
  • GET_ACCOUNTS: Required to identify your Google account for Drive authentication.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to check network availability before attempting cloud operations.

7. Children's Privacy

This App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data. Your local database is stored in the app's private storage on your device. Cloud backups are protected by Google's security infrastructure via your Google account credentials.

9. Your Rights

You can delete all your data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing the App's data from your device settings. Cloud backups can be deleted directly from your Google Drive.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
